A Secretary is Not A Toy

I've finally figured out that when it gets to that point where a show has completely saturated my brain, the only way to exorcise the songs that won't stop running through my head is to draw some fanart. And so...

My adorable, delightful, and very, very talented boyfriend was just in a production of Frank Loesser's How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. And so I ended up doodling this on my lunch break at work, and I liked it so much I just had to turn it into a finished piece. So here we have Bud Frump, the boss' scheming nephew, grabbing some poor secretary. She doesn't look terribly bothered by his attentions.

I have to say, I borrowed the basic idea for the costumes in this from the production that the bf was in, and I feel vaguely guilty about that. I also feel a little weird about having drawn the secretary to look so much like me, essentially drawing myself into a show I wasn't in...oh well, I still like how this came out.
